The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is a private, independent, non-profit research institute, based in Athens, Greece since 1988. Its mission is to conduct research and provide policy makers, academics and the public at large with authoritative information and substantiated policy recommendations. ELIAMEP’s research is strongly policy-oriented and focuses on topics pertaining to European integration and the future of the EU, Greek foreign and security policy, energy, regional security, transatlantic relations, migration, human rights and good governance, South-East European and Middle Eastern issues.

ELIAMEP hosts a number of prestigious academic research fellowships including Marie-Curie Fellows and currently also an ERC grant and has a wide experience in participation in large research consortia (FP5, FP6, FP7 and Horizon 2020), and institutional networks. ELIAMEP is widely connected with academic research institutions, think tanks, international and regional governmental and non-governmental organisations, student and citizen associations and the online and traditional media.
